Activision Blizzard Esports (ABE) is seeking a highly skilled, enthusiastic, and organized Production Staffing Coordinator (Temporary). The position will report to the Production Staffing Specialist. The primary focuses of this role are to manage production crew and talent onboarding, timecard submissions, and reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, and able to adapt to the ever-changing industry and company standards. Success in this role will require experience in automated payroll systems and consistent follow-through skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage weekly approval and submission of contingent worker timesheets to ensure payments are accurate and timely in accordance with common labor law
  • Facilitate new hire onboarding and I-9 verification
  • Support financial operations related to employer of record payroll including PO invoicing, coding, reconciliation, reporting, projections and funding
  • Identify system inefficiencies and partner with employer of record payroll vendor to improve production onboarding, payroll, and business processes
  • Develop and facilitate ad-hoc training for production management team members and staff on employer of record requirements, processes, and best practices
  • Identify payroll discrepancies and process payroll adjustments
  • Track monthly health benefits eligibility and ensure employee deductions are taken from payroll
  • Partner with production managers to maintain visibility and accurate records of staff scheduling, including work dates and project/event assignments
  • Prepare thoughtful, informative, and supportive written & verbal communications to internal and external contacts
  • Handle other administrative or operational duties as needed

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a payroll processing or payroll accounting role, preferably in the entertainment industry
  • Foundational knowledge of local, state, and federal labor regulations, health benefits experience is a plus
  • Problem-solving skills with a motivation to improve processes and efficiencies
  • Organize, prioritize, and manage a high-volume of projects simultaneously with minimal errors
  • Possess follow-up and follow-through skills to see projects to the very end
  • Able to act with discretion when handling confidential information
  • Comfortable interacting with all levels of production management and corporate hierarchy, including those at the Senior and VP levels
  • Efficient, quick learner with self-starting, eager personality
  • Exceptional attention to detail as well as the ability to keep long-term goals in mind
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, SharePoint
  • Proficiency or familiarity with Entertainment Partners a plus
  • Love for data and automation!
