Lead Tools Engineer - Unannounced Warcraft Mobile Project

We are looking for a Lead Engineer for a small group of engineers who build
software for our build servers, build automation, deployment, automated
device testing, and even a healthy touch of in-engine designer tools. If youโ€™re
as excited as we are about Warcraft, mobile platforms, and the strategy
genre, then we would love to hear from you! As a small team, everyone has
plenty of opportunity to contribute to the overall game design, artistic vision,
and technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Help design, specify, build, maintain, and troubleshoot our build and
    automation tools
  • Help hire, evaluate, challenge, and mentor our build and automation
    engineers
  • Help improve, streamline, harden, and simplify workflows across the
    team
  • Develop and maintain Android & iOS build pipelines
  • Coordinate with shared services groups at Blizzard to facilitate
    application and content distribution

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of professional tools programming
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools
  • Effective communication skills with developers of all technical skill
    levels
  • Excited by improving iteration times & reducing development friction
  • An extensive background in debugging & troubleshooting

Plusses:

  • Previous experience leading an engineering team
  • Experience with git and GitHub
  • Android development, especially with Android Studio
  • iOS development, especially with XCode
  • Experience with Unity development
  • Familiarity with Perforce
  • Familiarity with Python or other interpreted language
  • Familiarity with testing and automation frameworks
