Lead Software Engineer, Shop

Pull up a chair and join us! Blizzard Entertainment is seeking a talented and enthusiastic lead software engineer to join the Hearthstone team. This position’s primary responsibility will be to provide technical leadership for a team of engineers that supports and improves Hearthstone in-game shop.

You don’t need to play Hearthstone to apply for this role. Responsibilities

• Provide technical mentorship and guidance for small team of engineers.
• Work closely with designers, artists, business development and other engineers to implement, support, and improve the Hearthstone in-game shop and various related store products.
• Review completed engineering tasks in collaboration with production staff and other leads.
• Work with the Technical Director to promote and apply the core values of the Hearthstone engineering team.

Requirements

• A significant experience in delivering production-level code in a professional environment.
• Previous leadership experience.
• Strong established experience with C#.
• Cross platform experience using the Unity Engine.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills particularly with artists, designers, and other engineers.
• High comfort level extending and improving an established code base.

Pluses

• Experience writing C++ in a professional development environment.
• Experience with implementing a largescale client/server environment.
• Previous experience shipping game titles or other software.
• Experience supporting a live service.
• Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related degree.
• Familiarity with Hearthstone or other Blizzard Entertainment products.
