Blizzard Entertainment seeks an influencer relationships manager to coordinate outreach with online personalities and content creators for our Warcraft franchise. As a key member of our Community Management team, they will provide a valuable point of contact at Blizzard for a wide variety of creators, including YouTubers, streamers, fansites, cosplayers, podcasters, and more. The influencer relationships manager should be friendly and relatable, and able to speak with influencers on a level playing field, while remaining focused and driven toward finding and creating mutually-beneficial opportunities and programs for Blizzard and creators.

The ideal candidate is someone with an intrinsic knowledge and understanding of current and ongoing trends within the content creator space, including the mobile and PC gaming market. This candidate will have a solid familiarity with major content platforms such as Twitch and YouTube, and strong communication skills that allow them to work closely and effectively with some of our most dedicated and influential players. The ability to operate quickly and effectively in a fast-paced environment is a requirement, as well as the ability to advocate for content creators' needs to collaborators at various levels of familiarity with the influencer market.

The influencer relationships manager will be responsible for developing, executing, and supporting influencer marketing strategies for our Warcraft mobile and PC titles, working closely and collaboratively with global and regional communications, publishing, and public relations teams, as well as the game development teams. This role will be responsible for content creator relations, developer interaction, emergency communications, and reporting trends and popular discussion topics within the influencer space.

Responsibilities

  • Develop global content creator strategy for Warcraft PC and mobile games and serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external partners

  • Work closely with internal teams across PR, Community, Publishing, Digital Marketing and more to support effective global campaigns

  • Develop influencer strategies and lead their execution through pre-launch, launch, and post-launch phases, as well as for major content pushes

  • Work closely with influencers and content creators to ensure their support surrounding major announcements, launches, and key beats to ensure information and materials are properly distributed

  • Help build and grow a strong and diverse group of creators across numerous subject areas for the franchise

  • Work with a team of fellow influencer relationship professionals that champion positive and healthy relationships with a diverse variety of content creators on multiple platforms

  • Maintain constant visibility and understanding of new and ongoing trends within the influencer and content creator environment

  • Lead discussions on influencer activations, and coordinate across different departments and regions within Blizzard

  • Participate in discussions about overall brand positioning, strategic planning, communications pillars, content strategy, and marketing opportunities

  • Build, arrange, and manage Blizzard's participation in creator-focused events, both virtual and in-person

  • Compile detailed executive summaries on influencer coverage of Blizzard's upcoming Warcraft titles

  • Travel domestically and internationally as required

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience working professionally in the influencer/content creator field

  • 3+ years of experience of multi-tasking, and thinking both strategically and creatively

  • 3+ years of experience working with developers and communicating complex concepts in an easily understood, player-friendly manner

  • 3+ years of experience and ability to confidently communicate about Blizzard products with the public

  • 3+ years of experience and knowledge of video games and the influencer/content creator space

  • 3+ years of experience working with detailed materials and driven to prioritize and re-prioritize tasks and decisions under regularly shifting requirements and deadlines

  • Strong teammate, able to balance and blend the needs of various departments and team members, both internal and external, into effective strategies

  • Able to work with other teams and subject areas to complement and support each other's plans and objectives

  • A passion for gaming on mobile and PC

  • Very organized with excellent time-management skills

  • Crisis-management experience

Pluses

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or equivalent work

  • Experience working in a global, multicultural environment

  • Experience working in the mobile game influencer/content creator space

  • Experience in leading other influencer marketing professionals
