As the Digital Marketing Manager for Blizzard, this position will play a key role in bringing our social strategy to life for Blizzard. This person will oversee the brand social strategy for Blizzard, collaborate regularly with our regional teams and franchise social leads, as well as be a consultant for departments across the organization. The ideal candidate will have deep social media experience at an agency or on the client-side, demonstrated strategic prowess, and brought to life smart and clever ideas.

As our franchises expand into new realms, so too must our social reach, engagement, and conversation. We are seeking a candidate who will help lead Blizzard into a new era through social media.

This role will primarily work with the Director of Digital Marketing and our regional and franchise teams, as well as operate independently as a representative for Digital Marketing in cross-functional situations. The ideal candidate develops and optimizes the Blizzard social strategy, creative playbooks, and key presentations to further the organization’s approach to social media. They bring clever concepts to the table for Blizzard channels, oversee their production, and manage their distribution across social channels. The role is a key voice and leader in major brand moments, such a BlizzCon. Outside of these moments, they run point on our social platform and digital partner relationships.

Experience collaborating in a cross-functional environment is required. While game industry experience is not a requirement, previous work across PC, console, and mobile gaming is desired.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and execute our Blizzard Entertainment social strategy, including, but not limited to: Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, and Snapchat.
  • Play a key role in social creative ideation, help manage production, and ensure executional success among internal and external creative teams
  • Manage Blizzard’s social media channel and profile governance with the Associate Manager of Digital Marketing for Blizzard
  • Lead relationships with platforms and digital partners
  • Assist in managing social editorial calendars
  • Listen and respond to consumers on our owned channels
  • Collaborate on social media reporting, insights, and delivery through the use of analytics tools, including Sprinklr. Utilize learnings to inform and support the creative approach, as well as drive KPI's across platforms and campaigns
  • Work with external brand partners, developing and executing co-branded initiatives

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in social media at an agency or on the client-side as a Social Strategist or Digital Marketer
  • Self-starter mentality and track-record for clever social ideas
  • Proficiency in collaborating within a large organization
  • Experience in providing creative feedback for social content
  • Passion for gaming, advertising, social media, and all things Blizzard
  • Excellent verbal, organizational, and technology skills
  • Experience working with 3rd Party agencies/partners
  • Knowledge of the latest platforms and technologies and desire to identify opportunities for strategic brand involvement
  • Understanding of brand strategy and ability to write persuasive POVs
  • Working knowledge of social platforms and associated analytics programs and tools like – Sprinklr
