We are seeking an Engine Systems Engineer to assist in the development of our proprietary engine for our project. In this role you will building, improving, and optimizing foundational engine technologies and capabilities that will be leveraged by the entirety of the development team.

COVID-19 Hiring Update:

We've transitioned to a work-from-home model, and we're continuing to interview and hire during this time. This role is expected to begin as a remote position. We understand each person's circumstances may be unique and will work with you to explore possible interim options.

We need help with

  • Developing a broad array of core engine systems.

  • Collaborating with content creators and gameplay teams to learn and understand their needs.

  • Mentoring other engineers in coding and engine system development.

What you are good at

  • Understanding game content pipelines and tools.

  • Familiarity with core engine technologies such as streaming, multithreading, engine architecture, and API’s.

  • Performance analysis and code optimization.

  • Writing fluent C++ code with an advanced knowledge of both historical patterns and modern language features.

  • Math, with a strong proficiency for linear algebra and trigonometry.

  • Shipping games on multiple platforms.

  • Excellent spoken and written communications skills.

Extra awesome points for

  • B.S. (or higher) degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

  • Experience working with or contributing to in-house engine development.

  • Familiarity with visual scripting languages such as Blueprint or Kismet
