Greetings, students! We’re geared up here to offer another round of epic internship experiences in 2021. The internship program offers the opportunity to pause your studies for one summer and work side-by-side with Blizzard Entertainment employees in your area of interest, doing real work that oftentimes ends up in production. As such, we hold you to the same high standards as anybody else in the company.

Just like our gameplay experiences, Blizzard internships are a fully immersive experience. We want interns who are enthusiastic about what they want to do for a living and excited to come in every day to learn and contribute in this hyper-creative atmosphere. Being fully engaged with our team also means communicating effectively and maintaining an open mind - one that is receptive to feedback and able to adapt and grow. Your hobbies and interests can also play in your favor. Passion for technology, gaming, game development, and an in-depth knowledge of Blizzard games, products, and services will always be a plus with us, regardless of the position you’re applying for. Be passionate about who you are, be into our industry, and be willing to go all-in and embrace this opportunity to the fullest!

The minions of Hell are growing stronger...

We're working Diablo IV! Are you a skilled worldbuilder? How would you like to be a Dungeon Artist and help build the deep, dark dungeons of Sanctuary? Come work with us, and together we will build something exceptional.

Our team of talented developers is growing. Our backgrounds are diverse, but we all share a real passion for what we do. We believe that if you’re looking for a tight-knit crew that celebrates self-expression and embraces collaboration, we might be a phenomenal fit for you.

Stuff We Will Trust You With

Build and assemble in-game dungeon environments. Essential skills include a solid grasp of form, composition, layout and creating a readable gameplay space. You are also up on the latest tools and technology. Modeling, texturing, and asset creation are always a plus. The ideal candidate works well in an environment of peers who are passionate about working on the dark gothic world of Diablo, making great games, killing millions of monsters, and getting loot!

Stuff You Can Rightfully Brag About

What will it take to be successful in this role? Well, we’re always looking for people who are game developers first and who can help us become even better than we are today, so these are probably some of your previous achievements:

  • Work with Lead Dungeon Artist and the Art Director to ensure all environments are meeting the high-quality bar Blizzard is known for.
  • Serve as an active participant in team art discussions, critiques, and reviews.
  • Experience and a portfolio demonstrating assets developed in a modern pipeline and in game examples of World Building.
  • Problem-solving / prototyping ability
  • An exceptional understanding of form, shape, structure, composition, and silhouette as it relates to world building and modeling.
  • Able to work creatively as part of a large or small group
  • Self-driven, excellent communicator, big picture minded and a model team-player
  • Thinks of themselves as a game developer first, and an artist second
  • A passion for games
  • Organized and can optimize levels and assets for performance and memory.

And yeah, you will need these things to apply

  • Resume
