Job Description:

Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a Director of Lifecycle Marketing, who will be responsible for helping lead the lifecycle marketing communications for Blizzard’s portfolio of titles, including Call of Duty on PC under the Head of CRM Strategy. In this strategic leadership role, you will develop and execute consumer acquisition, engagement, retention and winback initiatives, while continuing to evolve our approach for one-to-one engagement at scale.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, deadline-driven, detail-oriented highly experienced digital marketer with a passion for executing on business objectives, strategy and planning for a successful multi-channel customer experience. Excellent interpersonal skills and a wide-ranging knowledge of Blizzard Entertainment games are essential.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Direct the lifecycle marketing team and align support cross functionally to execute end-to-end growth marketing campaigns focused on defining target audiences and developing corresponding communication strategies across multiple channels including email, push notifications, and in-app messages
  • Develop a dynamic and personalized customer lifecycle experience, tailored to each user’s journey around key behaviors
  • Lead Agile testing within communication channels to expand upon actionable learnings aimed at driving player engagement, increasing LTV and reducing churn. Continuously optimize performance through A/B testing and work with partners to deliver results and make program improvements
  • Identify and apply best practices to measure, analyze, test and determine new opportunities and provide recommendations for improved customer experience
  • Work with marketing and analytics peers to define key objectives, develop marketing strategy, and lead campaign development
  • Collaborate with franchise and growth strategy leads to gain alignment on the defined CRM marketing strategy
  • Work with international teams to align on business goals and execute on overall lifecycle marketing communication strategy

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of CRM/digital marketing experience in CPG, technology, entertainment, gaming or related fields utilizing data-driven insights to create a personalized user end-to-end lifecycle journey across multiple communication channels, including email, push notifications, and in-app messaging
  • Experienced people manager of cross-functional teams, as well as adept at managing intra-org relationships to set teams up for success
  • Hands-on experience with digital marketing at scale: across multiple brands or across a broad functional scope with millions of customers/subscribers
  • Analytical thinker with in-depth of knowledge of digital analytics, campaign tracking and ROI metrics. Evaluation of metrics to influence strategic marketing decisions
  • Savvy with Campaign management tools and ESP providers to execute campaigns
  • Deep Experience in building & executing marketing strategy based on insights, market trends, and competitive analysis
  • Understanding of data privacy and governance policies
  • Proven ability to use segmentation and behavioral data to personalize and optimize each player’s experience
  • Confident leader who can prioritize well and communicate clearly, both verbal and written, across all levels of the organization with a proven ability to influence other
  • Success in building and/or running loyalty and/or membership programs
  • Expert in nurturing relationships, reducing churn, improving engagement, and monetization with 1:1 communication
  • Ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels within an organization
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to synthesize plans and strategies into topline briefs/slides
  • Strong presentation skills are a must
  • Detail oriented, organized, adept at prioritizing tasks, able to delegate appropriate responsibilities to managers and producers
  • Ability to work in a deadline driven work environment, with strong attention to detail, ability to multitask and problem solve
  • Experience working in highly cross-functional and matrixed organizations
