Character Technical Artist – Unannounced Project
Do you like discussing rivets, ribbons, IKs, and deformers? Do you want to collaborate with world class artists, engineers, designers, and technical artists to help support the creation of the next great AAA Blizzard project?
If so, Blizzard is looking for you, a highly motivated, positive and proactive character technical artist to help us bring our worlds to life.
COVID-19 Hiring Update: We've transitioned to a work-from-home model and we're continuing to interview and hire during this time. This role is expected to begin as a remote position. We understand each person's circumstances may be unique and will work with you to explore possible interim options.
We will entrust you with:
- Creating clean rigs for characters, creatures, and props in Maya.
- Authoring skinning and deformation.
- Debugging and authoring node graphs.
- Evaluating topology and helping instill best practices.
You bring with you:
- Experience or a strong desire to program in Python.
- Experience or a strong desire to develop an animation blend tree.
- Hands on experience with modular rigging solutions.
- Strong time management skills.
Nice to have:
- Experience in off-the-shelf engines such as Unreal Engine.
- Experience using physics solutions such as nCloth.
- Experience authoring art assets such as modeling and animation.
- Experience programming in Python, C++, C#, MEL, or other programing languages.
- Working knowledge of 3d math and linear algebra.
