Now it’s your turn. Our team is growing, and we want to meet an Associate to Senior 3d Environment Artist for our Overwatch team who is ready to step up and break new ground in the Overwatch universe.
As an environment artist on Blizzard’s Overwatch, your talent and vision will help shape the expanding Overwatch universe. You will work closely with our design, concept, environment, and mission teams to create levels that are both gameplay-oriented, beautiful, and consistent with the handcrafted art styles that our games are known for.
Your broader experience with game development and building well designed levels will help you work collaboratively with engineers and designers to ensure that you are always putting gameplay first when it comes to developing strong, fun areas to play in.

Collaborate with the Irvine design and art team and create the art that make our world come alive.
Use next-gen materials and pipelines to forge assets for use in the game engine.
Iterate on level art and layout with designers via prototyping and group critiques to improve look and playability.
Work closely with Art Director/Leads to drive and evangelize the artistic vision and playability of the game
Maintain consistency of team’s deliverables through regular critiques, feedback, and mentoring
Assist in planning asset production in collaboration with the concept, character, and level teams
Level up your team’s abilities through mentorship of skills, process, and artistic techniques
A minimum of 4 years’ experience in game development as a lead or senior artist specializing in level art/architectural modeling
A portfolio showing a body of work aligned with the Overwatch aesthetic
A solid understanding of the world of Overwatch, and ability to expand it with exciting ideas
Familiar with next generation asset creation pipelines and tools
An exceptional understanding of form, shape, structure, and silhouette
Passion for world-building
Self-motivation and good communication skills
A great team-player attitude with ability to contribute to the team with creativity
Ability to collaborate with game designers, programmers, and multi-disciplinary art teams to help bring environments to life within the vision of the game design
Understanding of the playability and visual style of Blizzard, with a passion to push it to the next level
Must be a resident of Korea or have a valid working visa
Fluent in written and spoken Korean
Functional language fluency in English.
Experience in creating visual designs that support gameplay-oriented goals.
Experience with BSP level design and modular construction workflows.
Understanding of in-game optimization and performance for environments.
Proven problem-solving / prototyping ability.
Skill in one or more related disciplines – lighting, VFX, or concept.
Have shipped AAA PC or console titles as an environment/level artist.
Good technical chops and the ability to quickly master new pipelines and tools.
Strong experience with at least one game engine.
Experience with hard surface modeling in Maya.
Experience in developing stage-type games.
