Global Insights is looking for an associate analytics manager to join the Diablo Immortal analytics team, working closely with our partners on the game team itself. Our unique blend of challenges, opportunities, environments, and people all help make Blizzard a studio worthy of your career.

Covid-19 Hiring Update: We’ve transitioned to a work-from-home model and we’re continuing to interview and hire during this time. This role is expected to begin as a remote position. Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Battle.net, Customer Support, Publishing, Product, Production, and QA teams to resolve player-facing live ops issues

  • Manage, lead, and grow a team of analytics professionals focused on Diablo Immortal - empower, coach, and mentor in the following areas:

    • Telemetry message requirements

    • Dashboards and reporting

    • Behavioral and exploratory research

    • Conceptualize, design, and deliver insight-driven analysis to inform and shape decisions

  • Partner with the leadership of Blizzard and the Diablo Immortal development team to understand strategic priorities and operational needs

  • Comprehensively address both high-level and detailed strategic questions by clarifying the business requirements, developing hypotheses, and building an analytical structure to address the inquiry

  • Collaborate with Game Development & Commercial Leadership to drive meaningful change, effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Prioritize team’s work through creating an agenda, evaluating tasks, and allocating time and work to support the upcoming development milestones

  • Leverage tools such as Tableau, Big Query, Airflow, & Git to deliver insights and provide visibility to key metrics across the business

  • Contribute to an inclusive atmosphere, where team members communicate and support each other's efforts, enabling a productive team culture, built upon trust and collaborative problem solving

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Successful record of building, leading, and mentoring high-performing analytical teams

  • Curious, internally motivated self-starter with ability to plan, organize, and establish priorities to manage multiple projects and achieve results in a timely, scalable manner

  • Exemplary professional communication skills

  • Develop and maintain valuable relationships with Game Development team to push for data informed decision making

  • Have the ability to structure a concise, clear presentation of findings, based on large sets of complex data, and effectively present this to any level in the organization with appropriate visualizations

  • Extended experience with relational databases, big-data infrastructure (i.e. Google Cloud Platform), and data analysis tools (i.e. SQL & Tableau)

  • Analytical orientation and strong problem-solving skills, demonstrated by the ability to understand business needs and get to the root of the inquiry

  • Good understanding of the mobile video games industry

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of work experience with strategic problem solving and delivering results to stakeholders

  • 2+ years of work experience managing teams in Gaming, Data Analytics, Product Analytics, Data Science, Business Intelligence, or Product Management roles
