The Global Partner Development team sits within the Activision Blizzard Esports division of Activision Blizzard. Partner Development serves as the new business and partnership hub for the Overwatch League, Call of Duty League, BlizzCon, and Blizzard games. We are uniquely positioned to create long-term value via the commercialization of the portfolio of assets through brand partnerships. Overwatch League and Call of Duty League are quickly becoming the most commercially successful esports programs in history, all to the benefit of our brand partners and fans worldwide.

The AAE candidate will assist and support Account Executives including directly with brands, sports marketing and advertising agencies, as well as internal constituents, globally. A successful candidate should have a knowledge base inclusive of sponsorship marketing (traditional sports and or esports), excellent analytical & organizational abilities, strong interpersonal skills, experience in public speaking, the ability to work and communicate effectively in a small team environment and an understanding of the digital media landscape. A successful candidate should have a drive to participate, be proactive in their helpfulness, be a strong communicator and generally extroverted.

Job Function:

  • Daily monitoring of Account Executive’s accounts
  • Use available information to collaborate with internal research departments to develop accurate and informative research stories for potential clients
  • Build out those stories in Power Point Decks
  • Assist Account Executive in identifying and developing sponsorship sales opportunities
  • Prospect new business opportunities and steward internal conversations in lieu of Account Executives, should they be unavailable
  • Actively work with the internal Partner Creative Services group to ideate for potential sponsors
  • Provide support and complete additional projects as directed by Account Executive/management
  • Take on ad hoc requests from management from time to time
  • Meet with and maintain relationships with external constituents

Education or Equivalent Experience:

  • BS/BA degree required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years sales experience and or sports marketing agency with an emphasis in esports or traditional sports
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM and others as required)

Experience / Special Skills / Abilities Required:

  • Strong Power Point Skills as well as other MSFT Office Programs
  • Strong written and verbal communication, as well as presentation skills
  • Familiarity with research data – Nielsen, ComScore, Simmons and the like
  • Ability to learn quickly and be adaptable
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks concurrently
