As a Game Designer, you will take a role in game projects from concept to completion. Helping to define key systems and creative direction alongside Narrative Design, Code and Art.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of game features from inception through to release, striving for quality while adhering to the core vision of the game
  • Review and adapt designs based on user testing and approved internal feedback
  • Be the champion of quality for multiple feature designs; executing the creative vision of the game
  • Scope out and plan your own tasks and those of others within the design team
  • When required, set tasks, monitor and manage the quality of output for junior design team members
  • Mentor junior design team members

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Unreal and Unity game engines
  • Shipped titles
  • An approachable personality with a desire to be part of a team
  • A proven track record of designing gameplay systems
  • A passionate love of gaming and a strong understanding of modern gaming trends

Advantageous Experience:

  • An understanding of C++ and/or C# programming languages
  • Presentation, public speaking and pitching experience
  • Console development experience
