As a Game Designer, you will take a role in game projects from concept to completion. Helping to define key systems and creative direction alongside Narrative Design, Code and Art.
Core Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of game features from inception through to release, striving for quality while adhering to the core vision of the game
- Review and adapt designs based on user testing and approved internal feedback
- Be the champion of quality for multiple feature designs; executing the creative vision of the game
- Scope out and plan your own tasks and those of others within the design team
- When required, set tasks, monitor and manage the quality of output for junior design team members
- Mentor junior design team members
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Unreal and Unity game engines
- Shipped titles
- An approachable personality with a desire to be part of a team
- A proven track record of designing gameplay systems
- A passionate love of gaming and a strong understanding of modern gaming trends
Advantageous Experience:
- An understanding of C++ and/or C# programming languages
- Presentation, public speaking and pitching experience
- Console development experience
