Blackbird Interactive is looking for a talented developer for user interface development on a major project. Do you know how to get things done? Responsibilities
- Design and develop key systems such as screen flow, menu architecture, event systems, match-making and lobby UI, in-game 2D heads-up display and localization integration.
- Develop and maintain tools and pipelines to enable artists and designers to work with the UI system.
- Interact with other engineers to improve the whole technical team and process.
- Assess requirements and provide effort estimates to guide an evolving development plan.
- Collaborate continuously with design, art and technical teams to define requirements and iteratively build solutions.
- Embrace and help improve our engineering practices for solid design, testing, and implementation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of proven game development experience.
- Strong understanding of modern C++.
- Self direction and a proven ability to thrive in a highly dynamic environment.
- Strong interdisciplinary collaboration skills, including verbal and written skills.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Ability to work with an existing code base.
Pluses
- Experience with HTML/JavaScript/React.
- Experience shipping AAA games.
- Demonstrated passion for games and technology.
- Experience with Unity 3D, Unreal, or other similar full-featured game engine
- Desktop / Console development experience
- Self direction and a proven ability to thrive in a highly dynamic environment.
- Strong interdisciplinary collaboration skills, including verbal and written skills.
