Black Kite is a new studio founded by an ex-Rockstar Games game designer to make innovative strategy games in a wholesome work culture.

We are currently midway through development of Acolyte of the Altar, a PC based deckbuilding game where players hunt colossal Beasts and sacrifice them to a mysterious Patron.

Role

We are looking for a talented Social Media Manager to work with a world-class indie team on a contract basis. The hire will manage and create content for our existing Twitter and Instagram accounts and drive growth to newer platforms such as Tiktok. The role offers significant creative freedom, as each person on our team has ownership over their portion of the product.

Responsibilities

• Record videos and capture screenshots within the Unity Game Engine for sharing
• Create content that excites followers and drives engagement including game content, industry-related memes and progress updates
• Grow follower counts organically via interaction with fans and other studio accounts and industry influencers
• Work in a timely manner with a transparent usage of hours

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, etc.)
• 2 years of experience driving substantial growth to corporate (i.e. not personal) social media accounts
• Depth of knowledge and passion for video games
• Social intelligence and high awareness of culture and current trends
• Appreciation for teamwork and friendly, positive attitude!

Ideal Qualifications

• Experience running socials for indie game studios specifically
• Basic knowledge of Unity Game Engine is a plus, but not required
