In collaboration with Lead 3D, the 3D artist will be responsible for creating environments, characters and lighting. This person will be expected to work closely with programmers, animators as well as the artistic director. This person will also be required to validate his/her work as well as ensure consistency between the initial concept and the various prototypes and deliverables.

  • 3D modeling of environments, vegetation, and other natural objects found on terrain;
  • Height map creation and sculpting of topologies;
  • PBR material creation for environment assets;
  • Working with tech artists to specify shaders and tools;
  • Communicating clearly and concisely;
  • Demonstrating autonomy and organization;
  • Ability to estimate time for tasks, managing priorities and deadlines;
  • Being creative and adapting to different types of games & art styles.


  • Mastery of tools including Maya, Zbrush, Substance and Adobe Photoshop;
  • Have more than 3 years of game development experience, with at least one shipped game as 3D Environment Artist;
  • Experience with environment creation in Unity or Unreal;
  • Knowledge of the Unity or equivalent game engine;
  • Knowledge of nodal shader workflows and features;
  • Knowledge of human physiology and movement;
  • Ability to estimate work times, manage priorities and meet deadlines;
  • Be creative and able to adapt to different art styles, from cartoon to realism;
  • Have a passion for video games;
  • Be bilingual (French/English), spoken and written.
