What the Engine Technical Director will do at BioWare:
You will be the most senior engineering lead in the engine team, and a contributing leader to BioWare studio strategy. You will be a key leader in the transformation and maintenance of the technology BioWare uses and, most recently, the next sequel into the Mass Effect universe.
You will report to the Studio Technical Director and partner with games stakeholders to build the technology and the team to help them achieve amazing player experiences.
Who You Are:
You have shipped multiple video game titles and understand game development through all phases. You are passionate about building a technical vision across multiple games and inspiring all disciplines to achieve it. You want to help us achieve industry-leading games.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate creatively with the game teams to deliver technology supporting the game visions.
- Recruit and develop the best programming talent in the industry.
- Partner with leaders across BW and EA to use and improve common technical strategy.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience developing and optimizing AAA multiplayer games on PC or console.
- Excellent understanding of software and game development practices through all phases of development.
- Experience with multiple game domains (e.g. AI, Rendering, Tools, Online, and Animation…)
- Experience with UnrealEngine4+ is a plus.
