What the Platform Software Developer will do at BioWare:

You will architect, develop, publish and support web based services that power the online features for BioWare games.

Who You Are:

You are highly collaborative with experience building and automating online services and infrastructure. You are a talented, self-motivated individual with capability and drive to lead technical initiatives. You are creative, committed, and communicative. You have a strong interest in being part of a team that builds some of the best games in the industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to continuously improving and extending online services for a long running and successful MMO live service.
  • Partner with game teams to develop and enhance features to support amazing game experiences
  • Working collaboratively with the team to drive solutions that improve the developer and delivery experience while ensuring our product meets the highest standards of operational best practices
  • Build cutting edge cloud native solutions on top of the public cloud.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years full-time work experience in software engineering, information technology, or related domains
  • Proficiency in one or more backend server languages (Python, Java, C#, golang, PHP, C++, etc..)
  • Experience in popular storage systems such as relational databases, noSQL and caching
  • Experience with AWS services and solution architectures
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code
  • An eye for automation and instrumentation
