What the Lead Domain Programmer will do at BioWare

You will form part of the technical leadership for the game and drive technology decisions. You will lead a group of engineers to develop new features and systems. You will work closely with other project partners to help them realize their ideas through rapid prototyping and agile, iterative development. You will report to the Technical Director. Ultimately, you'll help us deliver the next amazing chapter in the Mass Effect universe.

Who You Are:

You are collaborative, enjoy solving complex problems, and have experience developing technology for AAA games. You have existing leadership experience or are looking to grow into a leadership role. You are interested in leading a team and building a longer-term strategy for technology. You want to help us build the best games in the industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with leaders of all disciplines on features and tools that allow them to populate our game worlds with amazing experiences
  • Champion best practice for the team to ensure delivery of the right tech at the right time and improve the way we work
  • Develop our engine technology to bring great experiences in today's game titles and to provide a better platform for tomorrow's
  • Mentor other developers of various experience levels to achieve the best possible results in their disciplines

Requirements:

  • Full cycle AAA game development and experience with modern game engines (e.g.: Unreal, Frostbite, etc.)
  • Experience planning and delivering systems for AAA PC and Console games
  • Professional C++ experience and a solid understanding of software design principles
