This role provides support in our internal Accounts Department. The Accountant is qualified to post business transactions in various areas and to prepare financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) and the IFRS.

Requirements

• Preparation and support for month-end financial reports (reporting package) according to IFRS/Management GAAP and PRC GAAP as well as year-end financial statements and consolidated financial statements according to Local GAAP and IFRS
• Capitalization of development costs: organization, analysis, and posting of timesheets for development periods and calculation of depreciation capitalized items
• Fixed asset accounting: posting, support, analysis
• Responsible for the bookkeeping of international subsidiaries: for example, Malta and Turkey
• Answer ad-hoc questions from the Head regarding GL accounting

Role

• University degree in the fields of Accountancy, Business Administration or comparable qualification
• 6+ years’ work experience in the field of accounting
• Thorough knowledge of the German Commercial Code (HGB) and IFRS
• Good grasp of numbers and strong analytical skills
• Excellent knowledge of software, in particular, MS Office and SAP FI/CO
• Expertise in SAP EC-CS is a plus
• Precise, quick, and proactive working methods when under pressure
• Dedicated team player with great interpersonal skills
• Fluent in written and spoken English and German
