Our company is looking for an experienced cinematographer and video editor to create content and help bring our vision to life through video. Technical expertise with filming and editing are essential, as well as experience working in a fast-paced environment as a member of a team.

The ideal candidate is creative, a skilled multi-tasker, reliable, committed to consistently meeting deadlines, and has an excellent eye for what makes great film.

Beyond the Summit is a small, agile company, and you may be expected to be able to help out with a variety of other responsibilities outside of those detailed below.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Filming video content
• Concepting ideas
• Creating storyboards and shot lists
• Recording video on set and on location for:
  • Skits
  • Shorts
  • Documentaries
  • Branded
  • Commercial
• Live events
• Editing Video content
• Creative decision making on video content products and projects
• Maintenance and organization of camera equipmentCamera sensors, lenses, microphones, SD cards, stabilization gear, drone, etc
• Staging and operating all camera equipment for both live & pre-recorded content
• Ingesting raw footage into storage systems and editing bays, ensuring data is backed up correctly
• Inventory managementOrganizing gear, cataloguing gear, maintaining gear, replacing / repairing damaged gear, logging in/logging out gear

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Understanding of on set roles Grip, gaffer, & electricLight stands, Camera tripods, Lights, DMX controllers, etc
• Working knowledge and application of post production processes
• Knowledge of post coloring
• Knowledge of post audio editing
• Extensive experience working with Adobe Creative SuitePremiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop
