Purpose of the role:

Working in-house in the Betway Esports production team, the Junior Social Designer will be producing design and motion graphics work for our Brazilian social channels. You will be charged with becoming an expert in the company’s brand identity, be able to demonstrate exciting design innovations on a daily basis and answer a brief effectively to create the most compelling and engaging work possible for Betway Esports’ social channels. For the social team this person will be the ‘go-to’ for design requests and they will be working closely with our Brazilian Video Producer and two Social Media Executives as part of our local team. This will cover various design requests ranging from pre-match posts, score graphics, giveaways and memes to more direct marketing posts like offers. The social channels you will be expected to provide design work for are the Brazilian Betway Esports Instagram (stories and grid), Twitter and Facebook, and the games you will be covering are CSGO and League of Legends with the occasional Dota graphic.

You will be responsible for:

  • Creating best-in-class design and motion graphics for Betway Esports Brazilian social channels (Instagram, Twitter and Facebook).
  • Producing After Effects motion graphics work for trailers, player line-up reveals and giveaways.
  • Presenting your work and educating the rest of the business on your design approach.
  • Adhering to brand guidelines, while also shaping the look and feel of graphics to the different game audiences.
  • Ensuring Creative Briefs are thorough and provide all the information you will need.
  • Working as part of a diverse team with various different skillsets: Brazilian Video Producer and two Social Media Executives.

You will have (Essential skills):

  • CV’s only accepted in English
  • Business level proficiency in verbal and written English
  • A high level of proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
  • Excellent motion graphics skills in After Effects
  • Knowledge and passion for typography, layout and branding
  • The ability to think creatively to develop new ideas and concepts
  • Experience within a commercial environment.
  • The ability to be able to grasp quickly what the needs of a project are and consider practical solutions, while also recognising when something requires craft and additional time.
  • Attention to detail
  • An ability to move on if ideas are rejected
