Overview
Bethesda Softworks is looking for a world class Senior Security Engineer to join a highly skilled team of senior security professionals responsible for security of AAA titles, digital platforms, and data in live and studio development environments. The ideal candidate has a proven record of researching, testing, deploying, and operationalizing a variety of security products, services, and other measures; network and systems security for hosted products; and in-depth coordination with security analysts and other technical personnel. Prior game experience and an ability to understand the unique challenges facing the industry are a definite bonus.
Responsibilities
- Research new products, services, systems, and techniques to improve existing security of Zenimax commercial products, platforms, and services, and perform proof-of-concept engagements
- Plan, design (if applicable), and implement new security products, services, systems, and techniques
- Manage, configure, and maintain existing security products, services, and systems
- Provide detailed documentation of both existing and new security products, services, systems, and techniques for use by other engineers as well as analysts and developers as applicable
- Provide guidance and engineering assistance to junior security engineers
- Adhere to high-quality standards and best practices, high performance, and scalable, repeatable processes and deliverables in accordance with applicable regulations
- Keep up with security trends in the video game industry and in the technology sector in general
- Occasional travel may be required (less than 10%)
Qualifications
- 5+ years security engineering experience
- Advanced experience planning, deploying, managing, and maintaining a variety of security products and services
- Strong engineering skills with attention to detail
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Knowledgeable in both network- and host-security respects
- Ability to multi-task and thrive on a small team in a fast-paced environment
- Passionate about a wide-range of gaming and technology/digital trends
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with engineering projects that affect a very large user base
- Experience with cloud computing and infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure, OpenStack, etc)
- Experience shipping a software product
- Previous game industry experience
- Experience reverse-engineering applications
- Certifications in one or more of the following: CCNA, CCNP, GSEC, CEH, CCSP, CISSP, CISA, or Security+
