The Community Manager, GSA will work closely with the Regional Communications Lead to assist with the execution of Community Management strategies for some of the most exciting titles in gaming. The successful applicant will be given key responsibilities in order to grow and strengthen relationships with the Bethesda community of players. Building on a keen desire to learn and develop the core community management skills, and a passion for video games and the communities that make them stand out, the Community Manager will engage with the community in discussion spaces, create social media content and report feedback to the publishing and development teams.
Responsibilities
Engage with the community in key discussion spaces (such as the official forums and social media)
Feedback information from the players to the development and publishing teams and help to solidify/improve that feedback loop
Proactively develop and pitch ideas which help to raise brand awareness, foster a strong community and extend the reach of our social media channels
Create engaging social media content (written, streamed, video etc)
Grow an understanding/become an expert on Bethesda’s games, and assist/engage with the community
Assist in the development of community management tactics and plans
Own the interaction with community members on specific products
Create and manage social media/content ideas from inception to execution
Create weekly/monthly reports and recommend actions if needed / possible.
Arrange and assist with community and publishing events
Work with influencers/content creators at events, and through discussions online, to talk about streaming plans and promotions
Create plans on how to develop relationships with content creators
Work closely with the global & local Community and Marketing team
Work with core community members to help manage ambassador programs and grow the core community audience
Assist the DE Communications Team to create plans, and propose ideas to fill identified gaps
Actively plan and execute regular livestreams on Bethesda DE Twitch channel
Qualifications
Community Management experience (or similar communications/industry experience)
Knowledge of videogames and the content creator culture, ideally knowledge of the Bethesda video game communities
Understanding of key community management principles: forums, social media, content creator culture, ambassador programs, core advocacy building, etc
Strong understanding of popular social networking tools and trends
Events attendance and support experience
Good knowledge of social media tools
Strong relationship building skills
Must be a team player and be willing to work independently with minimal supervision
Good writing, communication, and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and organised
Passionate about videogames and community management
Ability to meet deadlines and work within a changing and fast-paced working environment/changing community sentiment
