The UK Communications Manager drives all PR and Community activity. The UK team has a reputation for creativity, innovation, establishing best practice and working well within the ZEL group. Successful applicants will be expected to maintain the very high standards expected by the company, while also looking to expand the breadth of coverage generated.

Responsibilities

  • Create, manage and implement the UK PR plans for all titles, ensuring input and approvals have been achieved by all relevant teams.
  • Idea creation for innovative and far-reaching PR and Social campaigns.
  • Work with the European (ZEL) PR team to create a global PR plan that also benefits the UK team.
  • Update Marketing Director on all activities and opportunities.
  • Provide campaign evaluations.
  • Help coordinate game campaign information across the territory offices.
  • Organise and manage local press events while ensuring approval processes are adhered and event reports are sent a reasonable time after the event.
  • Manage, lead and motivate UK Community Team
  • Help support the UK Senior Community Manager with event management, Twitch TV shows, and community meet-and-greets. The successful applicant will also need to be on hand to help with UK community channels when the UK Senior Community Manager is away.
  • Develop close relationships with the European (ZEL) and local marketing teams to achieve and execute a detailed UK PR campaign.
  • Promote closeness and idea sharing across ZEL PR group.
  • Work with sales and distribution teams to make sure an awareness of the sentiment towards our games is shared.
  • Create and circulate weekly coverage reports.
  • To be on hand to demonstrate games to a variety of people including press, retail buyers and consumers when required.
  • Manage PR budgets for all titles.
  • Ad-hoc responsibilities including, but not limited to, attending local consumer shows.
  • Build up an extensive contact list across all key territories.
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive press database that covers all aspects of the UK media landscape.
  • Build personal relationships with UK press and influencers.
  • Show an understanding and awareness of competition, both from a PR and marketing campaign perspective, and of product quality.
  • Manage UK PR agency, from day-to-day, through to their feature executions.
  • Contribute to the commercial success of ZeniMax UK
  • Build knowledge bank and contribute towards the UK FTP and Mobile market

Qualifications

  • Passion for video games
  • 5-8 years UK video game PR experience
  • Understanding of the GaaS model
  • Agency Management experience
  • Understanding of community and social practices
  • Knowledge and experience of Bethesda games
  • Creativity and ideation
  • Good time management & PR planning skills
  • Strong verbal and reporting skills
