Bethesda Softworks is seeking an experienced, creative, and energetic capture artist to work with its marketing team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate visual and technical skill with the game capture processes that enables you to capture beautiful and compelling video game footage and screenshots that show off the games’ strengths in the best possible light, often working within the limitations of game technology that is not yet finished. Essentially, be an excellent virtual photographer/videographer in a fast-paced environment for some of the most celebrated game franchises of all time.
Responsibilities
Capture amazing video and screenshots for a variety of marketing purposes across a wide variety of game genres and devices.
Work with Marketing to determine best approaches for specific marketing needs and deliver according to deadline.
Communicate with the games’ developers to establish the best tools and practices for capture.
Coordinate multiplayer playthroughs based on capture needs.
Keep media well organized and maintain efficient storage practices.
Qualifications
3+ years experience capturing game footage and screenshots for marketing purposes.
Familiarity with a variety of video game engines. The ideal candidate would have experience with the engines used in the games that Bethesda Softworks publishes, such as Creation Kit and id Tech.
Strong understanding of composition, light, blocking and other fundamentals of what makes a great image, whether moving or still.
Experience with both hardware and software video capture tools, such as the Atomos family of capture devices and also OBS Studio.
Strong time management skills: you will often need to juggle simultaneous capture jobs within completely different games.
Self-motivated and organized.
Solution-driven with strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work well with a variety of personalities and work styles.
Familiarity with Adobe Premiere and Photoshop a plus.

Salary Range
Capture Artist - The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $50,000 - $100,000 per year.

Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
