Behaviour Interactive is looking for a multidisciplinary Web Developer (front-end, JavaScript) to evaluate and analyze the company’s business needs to help define software requirements and configuration. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining our games’ websites, and for ensuring normal operation and optimal performance of these sites. You will update or modify software to meet the needs of users, to test systems, and to debug. This role also involves development, website update/design in WordPress, Ghost or other CMS platforms, ensuring cross-browser compatibility, testing, and updating if needed.

|In this role you will :

  • Design adaptive, accessible, and efficient web applications;
  • Design new features and maintain websites (install WP, updates, corrections);
  • Develop unit and integration tests;
  • Migrate current applications to more recent technologies;
  • Work with tech teams to implement development environments and go online;
  • Design the website layout;
  • Fix links and images/page layouts that may not display properly;
  • Generate and edit web pages;
  • Create and modify appearance and styles;
  • Write scripting languages such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS, and know how to use React;
  • Write specifications before starting to design new features;
  • Contribute to the documentation in Confluence;
  • Oversee integration and tracking between Google Tag Manager, WordPress, Ghost, and Mailchimp (and others if necessary);
  • Understand basic SEO (website traffic analysis);
  • Monitor and adjust loading times when required;
  • Identify and solve problems to improve code robustness;
  • Design web pages, landing pages, and email templates ((WordPress, Ghost, and Mailchimp);
  • Work with the Graphic Design team to ensure good rendering;
  • Test different browsers and ensure optimal web browsing on different devices.

What we’re looking for :

  • 2-5 year’s experience in web design and with web CMS projects (knowledge of WordPress and Ghost);
  • Knowledge of WordPress is a must;
  • Knowledge of web programming languages HTML, XHTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript;
  • Experience in React;
  • Experience with security best practices (oAuth2, JWT, CSRF);
  • Good knowledge of version control systems based on git (GitHub/GitLab);
  • Knowledge of agile methodology (JIRA);
  • Knowledge of AWS and/or Azure;
  • Experience with server development considered an asset;
  • Knowledge of Mailchimp considered an asset;
  • Knowledge of Zendesk considered an asset;
  • Superior communication and collaboration skills;
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and concepts;
  • Ability to share knowledge with the rest of the team;
  • Ability to work independently on several projects simultaneously, motivated;
  • Bilingual (French/English) spoken and written.
