Job Description

The Capture Artist will be part of our Creative services team and their primary function will be delivering video sequences for marketing purposes (internal videos, footage for live streams, behind the scenes, etc.)

The Capture Artist is responsible for capturing, saving, and placing cameras for gameplay moments. These visuals are used as marketing and promotional content for social media or events. As a member of the gameplay capture team, you will become a specialist and be able to capture gameplay based on your knowledge and place cinematic cameras based on your cinematography expertise. The Capture Specialist will understand that sometimes capturing the perfect play may take time and repetition.

Responsibilities

  • Help organize capture sessions based on needs
  • Oversee the preselection of video excerpts
  • Capture specific gameplay moments
  • Maintain and update builds
  • Compress the preselected excerpts to prepare them for viewing
  • As an experienced player, they must be able to identify the predetermined location of the planned action
  • Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and features

Qualifications

  • Experienced player
  • Experience in the game industry a plus
  • Knowledge of Sequencer in Unreal, and plugin Video Capture in Unity
  • Knowledge of film techniques is a strong plus
  • Experience in video edition and/or photo shoots, an asset
  • Proficient in PC use and current generation video game consoles
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic, able to meet responsibilities without constant supervision
  • Capable of understanding complex features/systems and how it applies to the product
  • Detail-oriented with strong observational skills
