Your mission

You will be primarily responsible for managing and supporting the development team on a per-project basis from concept to the online support stage. Your responsibilities include scheduling, progress monitoring, and project delivery within established timeframes and at the expected level of quality. You will also liaise with external stakeholders and be asked to work on projects that will be marketed on different game platforms.

Your objectives

  • Oversee the game development process with the aim of producing high-quality games on different platforms. You could be required to manage several projects at the same time;
  • Work closely with one or more development teams to set and meet project deadlines;
  • Create and maintain plans and project timetables. Report progress and/or issues to the studio management team;
  • Provide direct supervision to employees;
  • Evaluate personnel and equipment requirements for projects;
  • Maintain a strong relationship with the parent company and other Activision Publishing studios. Maintain timely, clear communication about development aspects;
  • Create and maintain a productive and communicative working environment
  • Work with team managers in all areas of expertise on performance evaluations of studio staff;
  • Identify and resolve conflicts between scheduling, budgets, and design targets;
  • Identify, recommend and implement new project and studio processes, always with efficiency in mind;
  • Negotiate with stakeholders, being attentive to expressed needs and objectives;
  • Be ready to travel overseas on occasional business during the year.

Player profile

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in project management and/or team management in the video game industry;
  • Passion for gaming and triple-A game development;
  • Fluency in written and spoken French and English;
  • Notable achievements in the execution and expedition of quality games within deadlines and budgets;
  • Proven management experience, including performance management, conflict resolution, team facilitation, motivation and recognition, budgeting, project planning and organizational skills;
  • Ability to motivate the troops in good times and bad alike;
  • Strong persuasive and negotiation skills;
  • Aptitude for working with clients;
  • Ability to handle short turnaround times;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Resourceful and able to take initiative;
  • Agility and adaptability;
  • Organized, meticulous and detail-oriented;
