Your Mission
As a Payroll Specialist, under the supervision of the Finance Manager, you will have to ensure the complete payroll cycle in compliance with labour standards, tax laws, and studio policies.
Your objectives
- Create and update employee files;
- Monitor the workforce;
- Provide payroll processing (entry, transfer, and data verification from time management and payroll systems);
- Reconcile banks of vacation hours, leave, and overtime;
- Prepare and issue records of employment, tax statements, and any other deliverable that is the employer’s responsibility (annual summary, declaration to the CNESST, declaration of training activities, etc.);
- Manage group insurance memberships/RRSP employee program;
- Produce various reports and/or analyses;
- Respond to salary-related employee questions;
- Participate in the monthly closing of accounting records;
- Collaborate in the preparation of tax and audit files;
- Participate in the budget planning process;
- Perform all other administrative support tasks at the studio.
Player Profile
- College diploma, or university degree in accounting, administration, or human resources management;
- Demonstrated experience in payroll preparation;
- Good knowledge payroll-related labour standards and tax laws;
- Intermediate level Excel skills;
- Experience using payroll software;
- Basic knowledge of spoken and written English;
- Thorough and meticulous;
- Interpersonal skills and team spirit;
- Autonomy and discretion;
