Barcraft United is looking for a backend developer with PHP/MySQL experience. Candidates must be comfortable with 'core' PHP - do NOT apply if you've only edited WordPress themes. Experience with source control such as GIT is a major plus.

We do not require deep front-end design/development experience, just enough to demo API functionality internally for the team if code is not self explanatory. You will learn from an experienced front-end web developer.

Our internship dates/hours have some flexibility and are open to discussion.

We are heavily involved in the rapidly growing world of esports and competitive video gaming - with connections to publishers, developers, tournament organizations and sponsor companies.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Updating our internal API for our user, events and sponsorship managements.
Connectivity with 3rd party APIs such as Mailgun, Algolia, Google Maps/Places.
Use of geospatial (lat/long) data for venue management/search.
Conversion of pre-existing data in MySQL tables from a previous version of the project.
Specifications and documentation is available in English with original programmers on location.
