BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America is searching for a Director, Brand Marketing to lead the strategic planning and go-to-market execution for a large set of brands within the Bandai Namco Entertainment portfolio. This role requires excellent leadership, communication skills, desire to leverage data to inform decision making, and a collaborative mindset.

The Director, Brand Marketing will manage and coach multiple employees, and will collaborate with all departments including Production, Public Relations, Creative Services, Digital Marketing, Sales, Legal, and Finance.

Flexible, Remote and Work From Home options are available for this position until approximately April 2022. Afterwards we expect all employee's to join us at our new offices in Irvine, California where a hybrid work schedule will be observed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with executives and teams to establish marketing and business goals.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to build out cohesive marketing and communications plans for multi-platform releases.
  • Ensure optimal allocation of internal resources and prioritize efforts for success against the business goals.
  • Work with partners across the business to identify strategic opportunities and maximize digital campaigns to deliver against core business objectives.
  • Analyze the impact of marketing campaigns and broader publishing efforts on player acquisition, engagement, retention, and monetization.
  • Develop close relationships with First Party and hardware partners to maximize marketing impact and reach.
  • Leverage cutting edge digital marketing tools and processes to provide clear insights into effectiveness of paid media activities.
  • Build and cultivate relationships with internal teams: Executives, development teams, Public Relations, Creative Services, Digital Marketing, Social/Community, and others.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • 10+ years of brand marketing in video games, games as a service, or entertainment.
  • 4+ years managing direct reports.
  • Champion of the customer.
  • Enthusiastic teacher and learner with a growth mindset.
  • Solid, analytics-driven manager combined with sound business judgment.
  • Creative thinker who can combine marketing ideas with detailed game knowledge.
  • A dedicated team player and bridge builder who can motivate others around him/her.
  • Proven leader over multiple cross functional teams, across a portfolio of products.
  • Extensive experience in balancing priorities and internal resources.
  • Excellent communications skills and experience working directly with senior leadership.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position will supervise 4-6 brand marketing staff.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or Work Equivalent; an MBA graduate/alumni with a strong analytical background is strongly preferred, with coursework in Marketing, Finance and/or Business Administration.
