The bar specialist is the face and voice of our food and beverage brand through daily interaction with our customers and monthly members.

REPORTS TO | Bar Manager

JOB FUNCTIONS |
Primary accountability is to provide 5-star experiences for customers of a recreational technical bar for esports and video games.

  • Provide hospitable food and beverage service for all customers, members and friends.
  • Knowledgeable in many details of AXR beverage products and efficiently recreate all bar specialties with ease.
  • Comply with all legal procedures of alcohol and food service.
  • Stay up to date and engage in conversations with digital technology trends and esport news.
  • Answer any customer inquiries in person or through phone call.
  • Respond to all orders and requests in a timely manner.
  • Operate the cash register and ensure that all transactions are properly accounted for.
  • Assist sales staff in promoting drink specials along with memberships and monthly events.
  • Build relationships with customers, industry professionals, the gaming community and any curious visitor that wander through from the Beltline.
  • Assist with daily cleaning of the bar, equipment and inventory.
  • Share social media and communication hype to align with marketing strategies.
  • Be open to learn as an esports specialist and operate with other floor staff.
  • Following and executing objectives in line with AXR Core Values.

WORKING CONDITIONS |

  • General working hours are 15 – 20 hours weekly with limited absences/tardiness.
  • Delivering on Axis Replay principles, vision, and mission.
  • Appropriate casual uniform attire and maintenance of personal hygiene.
  • Comply with the Employee Handbook.

JOB REQUIREMENTS |

  • Must be 21 and over.
  • Have previous experience in food and beverage customer service.
  • Ability to pass a background check when implemented.
  • Ability to pass a drug test when implemented.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work. As it is a bar, shifts will end late and past midnight on weekends.
