The Position

Avalanche Studios Group and its creative division Systemic Reaction is looking for a Systems Designer to work on the development of one of our upcoming self published projects.

You will take a key role in creating and balancing multiple game systems including player progression, game economy, sandbox gameplay systems, and more. At a high level, you and your fellow game designers will lead the creative development for this new title and work closely with the Game Design Lead, Producer, and Development Team to realize the production plan until release and into the live game period.

On a day to day basis, you will design new features and content as well as taking an active role in product reviews to ensure an appropriate quality and prioritization. Experience in open world games, multiplayer systems and live games is a plus.

As you will work on a wide range of different game aspects, we see the perfect candidate as having a passion for exploring new possibilities, with practical experience from different areas of game development. Required Qualifications

  • Experienced the release of at least 1 PC/Console games and/or DLC of products you worked actively on in a design capacity
  • Experience in creating systems like ingame economy systems, population systems, player progression
  • Experience working with game engine scripting tools
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (English)
  • Data management and editing with excel or similar

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in working on small game teams
  • Understanding of action / adventure style open world games
  • Experience designing for live games
  • A passion for open world games
