Position Overview:

The Product Manager – Marketing will be responsible for a wide range of tasks and activities directly related to the management and maintenance of the product life cycle. The Product Manager – Marketing will have a strong focus on developing and maintaining business relationships along with the sales and marketing team. This position requires interaction with Sales, Marketing, Warehouse, the Service team, External Partners, and Headquarters. To be successful in this role you must be self-motivated, energetic, organized, detail oriented and have a passion for computers and technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning for Desktop, Accessory, and Service Package roadmaps by performing market analysis and comparisons for products, pricing, and channels
  • Assessing the characteristics of these products and coordinating with the marketing team to develop and implement appropriate advertising campaigns
  • Managing the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities, including managing product design, pricing and promotions for each channel
  • Preparing the new product go-to-market plan, working closely with the sales & marketing team for product training and ensuring new product messages are well-received by customers
  • Performing monthly revenue/margin analysis and forecasts, organizing monthly revenue/margin reports and presentations
  • Joining weekly overnight meetings with Headquarters to acquire Business Unit (BU) strategy, new product roadmaps, and supply chain updates
  • Preparing communications material for internal and external audiences
  • Communicating with customers daily (Best Buy Canada, Staples, The Source, etc.), collecting and analyzing customer feedback and providing solutions
  • Planning weekly forecasts on the internal eCommerce system and placing product orders
  • Facilitating inventory turnover and product availability by reviewing and adjusting inventory levels to ensure accuracy and resolving any discrepancies
  • Managing and controlling the logistics of all product shipments to Canada
  • Handling AATP (Allocated Available to Promise) and ensuring that clients receive the exact number of products on time
  • Monitoring shipment reports and communicating with the factory, carrier, and logistics team from China and Taiwan for ensuring product supply
  • Working with the Inside Sales team to ensure invoices are processed for customers

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in product management or business promotion in the technology industry
  • Proven ability to sell in complex and dynamic situations
  • Excellent analytical thinking, technical analysis and data manipulation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office creating reports, especially in Excel and PowerPoint, ability to make successful presentations to individuals and/or groups at all levels of an organization
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages
  • Ability to work confidently in a rapidly changing, fast-paced and results-oriented corporate environment with a high degree of flexibility
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, ability to communicate in Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese is an asset
  • Technical proficiency in Computer Hardware/IT environments
  • Exceptional time management, prioritization, attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work outside of regular business hours due to time zone differences
