The Role:

The ASTRO team is looking for a Launch Project Manager to help manage new audio gaming Project Package Development from the design stage to mass production and also to support post MP packaging change orders, cost improvements and refreshes.

The ideal candidate is a highly-organized and detail oriented project manager with a track record of delivering best-in-class products on time and on budget. The successful candidate will be an outstanding manager of a cross-functional, global project team and capable of managing and supporting multiple programs with a "hands on" style that affords a high degree of personal interaction with the process.

  • Lead, manage and coordinate the package development of retail products that include package structure, graphics and documentation from concept to mass production.
  • Partner with the portfolio manager, brand manager, design team, engineering team, operations, suppliers, packaging qualification team in launching product packages with the manufacturers.
  • Ensure deliverables, schedule and quality meet the project objectives which are defined in the project plan.
  • Plan, schedule, prioritize and drive package structure and graphics development activities and ensure PKG NPI or Sustaining tasks & activities be managed.
  • Develop SKU plan, create, manage and release master packaging BOM.
  • Work with the localization team to ensure retail configurations are translated accurately and on time to meet project schedule and quality requirements.
  • Ensure that the quality of packaging structure and graphics meet the expected cost and out-of-box experience without major issues.
  • Identify and fully evaluate project risks, and put mitigation plans in place, tracking progress up to the successful product launch in the market.

Key Qualifications:

For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and behaviors to our team:

  • Fluent English communication skills in a global company is a must.
  • 2 to 5 years of project management experience.
  • Project management experience in consumer electronics, working with a cross-functional team and managing new product development.
  • Good knowledge of project management standards and methodology from the concept stage through development and commercialization.
  • Good understanding of working with functional teams in a global environment.
  • Skills in leading and managing a technical project development through NPI and into stable production.
  • Ability to develop a comprehensive project development timeline by using proper tools.
  • Good understanding of bills of material and bills of documents, as well as change management.
  • Effective use of GSuite and MS Office applications (spreadsheet, docs, presentations)and Cloud based applications.
  • Experience with Oracle Agile PLM is a big plus.
  • Experience with MS Project, Jira and Confluence desired.
  • Knowledge of packaging manufacturing processes and graphics development is a plus.
  • Must be willing to travel (~25%).

Education:

  • Bachelor degree in marketing, engineering or business administration
