Arkane Studios is looking for a UI Programmer (ActionScript 3.0) to join our UI team and work on our incoming game, Deathloop.

Responsibilities

The UI Programmer will actively code and engineer UI assets for various aspects of the game, working conjointly with UI and Game Programmers teams.

  • Read design documents to understand the expected user experience
  • Implement and integrate UI design assets in game
  • Work closely with the UI team to bring the assets to life
  • Ensure that the UI is compatible with our UI middleware
  • Optimize and debug the UI assets
  • Write technical documentation for Gameplay Programmers and work with them to
    implement the features in-game

Qualifications

The candidate must have practical knowledge of the Action Script 3.0 language, with the ability to implement content into the game engine.

  • Independent or professional Action Script 3.0 development experience
  • Strong Flash and Action Script 3.0 knowledge
  • Open minded, flexible, and able to listen to Users requests
  • Comfortable working in a cross-discipline team environment
  • Good communication and documentation skills
  • Passionate in Video games and aware of UI trends

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with UI middleware (Scaleform or other Flash-based middleware)
  • A previous game development experience is a plus
  • English skills is a plus
  • Knowledge of C++ is a plus
