WHAT YOU'LL DO

As an Senior Environment Artist, you will be responsible for building immersive worlds for players to play in using our in-house world building tools. We create a wide variety of areas, so you should be well rounded in your ability to flow seamlessly to different regions and maintain a high quality.

  • Create fun and immersive spaces, from structures to dungeons to customizable structures
  • Work closely with designers to support their content

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • Experience building terrain and placing props to support environments
  • Technical savvy and ability to work with multiple toolsets and file types
  • Excellent communication and team skills
  • Must be able to learn and work within an established art style with or without concepts
  • Able to drive new, original looks for various world maps or areas within maps
  • Understanding of visual and aesthetic architectural concepts as they relate to video games
  • Understanding of what makes a game space immersive, fun and play well
  • Ability to self-critique your own work, iterate and improve overall quality
  • Contribute to the artistic and technical understanding of more junior members of the team
  • Be a reference for the map art team in relation to artistic elements and find solutions to complex issues that arise
  • Ability to build worlds that adhere to given memory limitations and be able to optimize worlds to meet performance requirements
  • Passion for video games and building them
  • At least 5 years professional experience building 3D environments for AAA games
