Job Title: Social Media Manager (Mid/Senior - depending on experience)

AoE Creative is a leading North American creative and marketing agency that specializes in gaming, esports and nerd culture.
We are looking to hire an experienced social media manager with a strong passion for gaming. This role specifically involves leading execution, creative development, and strategy on various projects. The position reports directly to the Head of Marketing.
Responsibilities
- Drive social media execution, strategy, and development for clients across various social platforms including (but not exclusively) Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.
- Generate a strong professional and trusted relationship with AoE’s clients.
- Develop personality, profile, tone and manner for brands.
- Oversee and execute event social coverage both online and offline, esports tournaments included.
- Support clients with community management; generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos, and news) for official channels.
Produce, optimize, and enhance content for social use through existing internal and external pipelines:
- Design Teams
- Media Production Teams
- Localization Support Teams
- Controlling and overseeing social calendars and various documents to collate creative ideas
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Exceptional writing skills (copy writing background preferred) with strong attention to detail, grammar and tone
- Creative outlook with inspired content ideas
- Strong interest in video games, sports and popular culture
- Excellent organization skills
- Strong, clear personal communication skills
- Ability to work in the highly demanding and fast paced esports and gaming industry
Desired Skills & Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in digital marketing, social media, journalism or copywriting
- Experience in social media/digital/PR/communications
- Experience managing complex, multi-team projects
- An understanding of sports and digital marketing trends
- Experience leading or working with growth marketing teams
- Expertise in overseeing and optimizing social media budgets across multiple platforms
- Published articles or papers outlining social trends and growth
