This role is suited to an ambitious senior game designer/producer looking to elevate their career to the next level within one of the fastest growing gaming companies in the UK. A passion for Retro gaming is an absolute must!!

The role offers a blend of creative and leadership responsibilities and is suited to someone with senior experience of game design and production. Everything we do is with the game fans in mind. Our goal is to continually refine and improve the product to increase engagement through the user journey, improving conversions and reducing friction and churn.

You will be working closely with the senior leadership team to translate ideas into a cohesive design that can communicate the product vision to internal and external stakeholders.

You will be responsible for maintaining the product roadmap across the Antstream Arcade App, Content, Website, Social and Marketing, ensuring continuity between the channels.

You will have overall responsibility for the design and production of the user journey, new features and game mechanics, continually and proactively iterating based on feedback from the community and your peers.

You will enjoy the process of creating concepts and ideas for hyper-casual mini games built around some of the most famous gaming IP’s ever created.

You will have overall responsibility for product sign off to ensure the final solutions meet your high expectations for enjoyability and quality.

You will be leading our content and design teams to prioritise work according to the product roadmap.

You will excel at communicating your ideas to individuals and groups both internally and at external events.

You will engage with the community to understand the most requested features from the fans.

Essential Skills And Experience

  • Proven track record of designing a top selling game with free to play monetisation
  • Deep understanding of in-game virtual economies, free to play mechanics and game progression loops
  • Understanding of the user journey from first discovery through registration to the First Time User Interface
  • Ability to articulate complex ideas into easy to understand and digestible formats
  • Creating and maintaining product roadmaps, Game Design Documents (GDD), feature wireframes and flow diagrams
  • Experience of prototyping using Figma or something similar
  • Proven leadership experience
  • The ability to work collaboratively with other disciplines and independently without close supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Natural ability to question, influence and provide recommendations in a clear and constructive manner at all levels of the business
  • Managing key stakeholders and driving the teams to meet release schedules
  • Strong project management and prioritisation skills
  • Defining user requirements, and acceptance criteria

What you’ll be doing

  • Owning the design and delivery of the product
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and communicate the product vision, roadmap and priorities
  • Leading the content delivery team and helping them grow and expand their skills
  • Coming up with new ideas for hyper casual mini games based on Retro IP
  • Keeping up to date with key industry insights to share knowledge of the market, the users for consideration for the future roadmap for the product.
  • To provide the right level of detail through the design and delivery process to enable accurate estimation by engineering teams
  • Work closely with our Content and Development teams to communicate priorities and size’ key product features effort
  • Own and maintain the Product Backlog and priorities
  • Lead sprint review and demo sessions to determine what has been delivered
  • Responsible for product release plans and set expectations for the delivery of new functionality
  • Stakeholder Management - Liaison with the business and external stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of dependencies, deliverables and issues and to ensure that business sponsors fully understand and agree with the project analyses, conclusions and recommendations
  • Release Management - supporting the planning and release of change in line with both the Product and Delivery Roadmaps​
