Description

We are looking for a Senior Tools Programmer (permanent contract) to help structure and implement new tools and enhance existing ones, depending on the needs ofthe project. (HUMANKIND™)

Under the supervision of the Lead Programmer, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Working with both programmers and game designers to assess the needs for tools
  • Translating these into ergonomic, intelligible tool designs, which are consistent the game’s vision and using a set of internal tools developed using a shared Amplitude’s Framework
  • Creating easy-to-use tools which allow for seamless and quick iteration on the game
  • Gathering feedback from the team and continuously maintain, improve and debugg tools

Required experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant field
  • 6+ years of experience in a similar or relevant position, with a specialization in strategy-based games

Required skills and profile

  • Fully fluent English and French
  • Passionate about strategy games / video games
  • C# ability
  • Knowledge of Unity
  • Sharp understanding of Game Designers’ needs and ability to translate them in effective, user-friendly tools
  • Attention to details and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and interact with a large variety of profiles (developers, players’ community, artists…)
  • Flexibility and adaptability
