The Amazon Prime Video UX Design team is seeking a highly motivated mobile Sr UX Designer focused on end-to-end experiences for Android, iOS & FireOS. In this role you will work closely with other UX Designers, User Researchers, UX Producers, Design Technologists, Product Managers, and Software Developers to continuously evolve our mobile experience and raise-the-bar for delivering experiences our customers love.

In a fast-paced, collaborative environment, you’ll work on all aspects of UX design including information architecture, interaction, motion, visual, and prototyping deliverables. You’ll drive design from vision to execution and will also be a key part of a UX Design Studio collaborating across all aspects of the Prime Video service. You are a talented and experienced designer with exceptional problem-solving abilities, clear communication skills, and solid design instincts who can translate business needs into fantastic customer-focused solutions. Ideal candidates are self-starters, consumer-focused, data-driven, creative leaders who have successfully designed and delivered great experiences at global scale.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze user interface problems and create on-brand design solutions that meet measurable business goals and requirements
  • Create user-centered designs by considering market analysis, customer feedback, technical constraints/opportunities and customer insights
  • Work closely with the business team to develop use cases and high-level requirements
  • Quickly yet thoroughly create user flows, wireframes, visual designs, and prototypes as needed to effectively conceptualize and communicate detailed interaction behaviors
  • Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications
  • Present design work to your UX partners, product & engineering teams, and program leaders.
  • Provide mobile optimized designs with detailed interaction experiences
  • Partner with development teams to build experiences: provide appropriate design specifications, asset creation, and review finished interfaces.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions, design reviews, and quick, iterative user research for ideation and concept refinement.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of design experience
  • An available online portfolio
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Strong ability to create complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization
  • Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate a bias for action in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Relentless desire for innovation, balanced with business needs, and customer expectations
  • Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs
  • Fluency in best practices for device-based interaction design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques
  • Bachelor Degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience
  • Proficiency using contemporary design tools to solve complex problems and communicate in visually stunning detail.
  • Visual design expertise demonstrated through mockups, style guides & design specifications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience relying on analytics and data to shape product decisions and empower tracking the effectiveness of change.
  • Experience designing solutions at a global scale.
  • Experience designing solutions that scale across platforms & devices, including: web, 10' living room devices, multimodal voice platforms.
