Amazon México is looking for a smart, enthusiastic, customer focused, hard-working, team-oriented, and analytical candidate to join our Toys & Games team. You will be responsible for the total P&L across the biggest toys vendor in Amazon Mexico, one of the biggest licensors in Mexico and the owner of a multi-category pricing project. Some of your responsibilities include setting the strategy for driving growth, creating strong partnerships with vendors, adding selection, managing category profitability, optimizing pricing, and delivering a disruptive customer experience.

You will lead presentations and planning sessions with vendors and act as the main point of contact for them. You will also develop collaborative marketing and provide support to drive category growth through detailed analysis of business inefficiencies and identifying solutions; proposing changes to operational processes; driving a high standard in customer satisfaction; ensuring high-quality product detail pages; and making recommendations for effective marketing campaigns.

The right candidate stays on top of industry and competitive trends, and is able to execute at both a tactical and strategic level to drive selection, sales, and margin growth. In addition, the Brand Specialist must be an effective leader and communicator in working with Amazon partners and vendors, as well as with internal groups such as control buying, site merchandising, marketing, PR, finance, operations, and retail systems.

The ideal candidate has strong business judgment with a track record of successful negotiations and overall relationship management. Proven analytical thinking, project management skills, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational.

Brand Specialists are fully involved in the following functions: online marketing, vendor management and in-stock management. Tasks associated with these functions include:

  • Online marketing: improving product page data, developing marketing and merchandising plans, improving customer experience onsite, helping generating traffic and sales.
  • Vendor management: help growing selection of products to sell on Amazon, onboarding new vendors, identifying and resolving pricing issues.
  • In-stock management: tracking purchase orders, investigating late deliveries, resolving order rejections, working with vendors on PO automation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS degree or certificate of completion of studies required
  • 5+ years of experience in buying, account management, product management, project management, financial analysis, marketing or related field.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish
