As a Software Development Manager on Lumberyard, you will lead the team to deliver cutting-edge technology, workflows and software solutions in a number of areas in the engine. You will not only be the leader for your team but also be a key contributor to the leadership of the studio you are in and to the Lumberyard organization as a whole.

Key responsibilities include

  • Hire and develop a strong and highly effective team
  • Lead an organization of engineers responsible for the development of highly-scalable, manageable and performant tools and content driven workflows.
  • Create project plans and commitments for yourself and your team, then deliver consistently against those commitments
  • Contribute to and help drive the architecture and technology choices for Lumberyard.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) experience
  • 5+ years of large-scale engineering experience in a leadership capacity
  • 3+ years in a management capacity
  • Great communication skills and ability to work effectively on shared projects with designers, testers, engineers, and executives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in highly performant software and tools, including profiling and optimization.
  • Lumberyard, Unity, Unreal, CryEngine or other 3D game engine development experience.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals in design, algorithms, and data structures.
  • Expertise in real-time simulation programming concepts, requirements and methodologies.
