DESCRIPTION

The Video Games team is looking for a talented, experienced and entrepreneurial Senior Vendor Manager. Our mission is to create a world-class store where customers discover, research and buy Earth’s biggest selection of Games, Consoles, and Accessories (including Virtual Reality). You will play a critical role in managing a portfolio of strategic brands to drive their selection, profitability, topline performance and growth in market segment. You will lead vendor negotiations of top Video Games vendors (OEMs/ publishers/ distributors) and optimize end to end customer experience by partnering with Supply Chain, Advertising and Customer Service teams.

The ideal candidate will be able to think creatively, identify business opportunities and be able to prioritize based on impact and have a high degree of flexibility and commitment. They will have strong communications skills, possessing the ability to influence others, and feel comfortable working with teams.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead relations with top Video Games OEMs/ Publishers at UK /EU level.
  • Lead business planning and day-to-day trading, Terms negotiation, lifecycle management of selection, sourcing strategy and optimizing customer experience (discoverability, conversion, after-market/ post purchase).
  • Drive new ideas and being the point of contact between various stakeholders and teams, both in UK and across EU, managing project expectations.
  • Deliver new customer innovation that will help us to win in this category in next three years.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Significant proven commercial experience including negotiations.
  • Results oriented, self-starting, team player with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Success in taking ownership and driving results.
  • Proven ability to influence others in a business setting.
  • Ability to think strategically and tactically, with excellent attention to detail.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA from top business school or other clear evidence of entrepreneurial strength, business awareness and financial management.
  • Commercial experience in a relevant product category would be beneficial, though not essential
  • Cross functional experience, especially across finance and supply chain.
