Senior Marketing Manager Video Games

Amazon is all-in on games. In addition to our physical and digital retail businesses we continue to make investments across Twitch, Lumberyard, Game Services, and Amazon Game Studios. The US Video Game's team is looking for a talented, analytical, creative, and experienced Sr Marketing Manager to identify, create, and drive our engagement with customers and creative, Think Big projects with vendors with the goal of creating a best-in-class shopping experience for our customers.

Our environment is very fast-paced, and requires someone who is highly enthusiastic, flexible, detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with multiple teams and management. This is a critical role within the Video Games team and you will partner closely with a number of different business groups across the company, including Strategic Initiatives, Consumer Electronics, Alexa, Twitch, Amazon Games Studios, and Digital Software and Video Games platform teams. The role requires exceptional skills in strategy, project management and product development. The ideal candidate can drive results within a fast-paced environment, must possess strong analytical acumen and business judgement, can prioritize well, communicates clearly, and has a proven track record of working with cross-functional teams to drive solutions. A successful candidate will be passionate about the gaming industry, be able to think and act both strategically and tactically, and use customer centric data to identify opportunities and audit results.

Responsibilities Include

  • Develop a deep understanding of the Amazon Video Games customer and use that information to drive the overall onsite CX strategy, including vision and execution, for the Video Games retail business
  • Own projects with considerable scope and/or complexity with significant impact on customer experience and Amazon’s business
  • Work with cross functional teams, vendors/publishers, and internal teams, including technology teams, to define, drive, and launch improvements to the shopping experience
  • Analyze customer engagement patterns and optimize key conversion activities to drive customer KPIs
  • Own creation of marketing programs, and multiple key traffic drivers, to acquire new customers
  • Present to senior management externally and internally

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Planning, Information Systems Management, or Finance
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, product management, retail, or finance
  • 3-5 years of experience interpreting data through analytics to make business decisions
  • The right candidate thrives in a high energy environment where tactical and strategic activities are expected to be driven in parallel
  • Possess good business judgment, strong written and oral communication skills, and a practical common sense approach to getting things done
  • Able to use formal and informal influencing skills across Amazon's cross-functional organization
  • Delivers on deadlines and priorities as a self-directed individual, comfortable with a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
  • Demonstrate the ability to succeed: managing large catalog selection efficiently, identifying problems and finding solutions, and building/improving processes
  • Strong organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management and meeting deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience in roles requiring program management, data analysis, process improvements, creative problem solving, cross-functional collaboration,
  • Minimum of 5 years’ gaming industry experience
  • Ability to deliver initiatives from conception through completion
  • Ability to analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, drive improvements, and scope requirements
  • MBA preferred
