Amazon is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the US Prime Video Finance team. Prime Video is changing the way customers watch TV and movies. With Prime Video, customers have instant access to a massive library of popular content across many devices, including smart TVs, game consoles, mobile devices, browsers, and streaming media players like Fire TV. Prime customers can watch thousands of titles included with Prime, subscribe to popular channels, and buy/rent movie and TV content.

The successful candidate will have shown experience in past roles influencing business owners and supporting decision making in rapidly evolving environments. This role requires a self-starter who is comfortable working in an ambiguous environment with strong data gathering and modeling skills. The role also has regular interaction with various business leaders and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Primary Responsibilities Include

  • Lead short and long-term financial forecasting and planning
  • Provide analytical support for various initiatives and ad hoc requests
  • Identify and/or lead initiatives to improve financial performance through revenue, margin, and/or cost improvements
  • Present financial summaries and business insights to senior management
  • Identify and/or lead projects to improve processes and reporting
  • Generate financial reports, variance analysis, and cost allocation models
  • Establish and maintain operational and business metrics

Basic Qualifications

BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, and Computer Science) or equivalent and a minimum 5 years of finance experience, OR master’s degree and 3 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and self-motivate in a fast paced and rapidly-changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities and drive projects to completion
  • Demonstrated ability to influence decisions through effective verbal and written communication, logical reasoning, and the presentation of alternatives
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Advanced use of SQL (data mining and business intelligence)
