Amazon Prime Video is changing the way people watch movies, TV shows, channels and live events with hundreds of thousands of titles available on-demand and in real time on mobile devices, Fire Tablets, game consoles, PCs, Macs, TVs, Blu-ray players, Fire TV, and set-top-boxes.

As a Principal Product Manager Tech for the Storefront Automation team you will develop the strategy and vision for maximizing customer engagement by building products that automate all storefront merchandising and scale Prime Video’s service expansion. You will work on enabling new use cases offering customers deeper personalization or engagement through new channels. You will own and drive product roadmaps and features based on this strategic vision and will define prioritized feature sets to address key internal and external customer needs. This role is inherently cross-functional: you will work collaboratively with Prime Video product development, central and cross-device engineering teams and executive teams to bring products to market, develop and grow business opportunities, and enhance our platform capabilities.

The ideal candidate can balance requests across multiple business units and has great abilities to influence across a diverse organization whilst driving a roadmap and detailed product requirements for a software development team. You are highly analytical, resourceful, customer focused, team oriented, and have an ability to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines. You also have a proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment. Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience with end to end product delivery
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition
  • Technical fluency with experience leading diverse, large, highly technical cross-company-large-scale architecture and cultural changes, influencing engineers and engineering leaders at all levels.
  • Ability to dive deep in understanding the product, tech stacks as well as the competitive landscape.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science or related technical field from a top engineering school.
  • Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to set and achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for understanding customers and their behavior, particularly with regard to the digital video space
  • Demonstrated strength in building trust and driving alignment across a diverse, matrix-based set of stakeholders
  • Excellent cross-functional project management skills and written and verbal communication
  • Strong analytic and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions
  • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
  • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
