Ring Customer Service is looking for an Instructional Designer with a passion for creating engaging and impactful learning products across a spectrum of modalities.

As an Instructional Designer with Ring, you will partner with all aspects of the organization to create technical and soft skills training from onboarding to continued education to just-in-time learning. You will contribute strategically and tactically to ensuring that our team members have the right knowledge and skills to provide the very best in community support to our world wide consumer base.

The role requires an experienced individual who has firm understandings of adult learning theory, written communication, visual communication, and advanced content development, as well as a passion for technology.

We seek an individual who is excited by the prospect of generating meaningful and measurable change, and who takes personal pride and satisfaction from creating interactive and rich training materials and programs.

Responsibilities

  • Continuously self-educate on the latest trends and practices in learning in order to provide that expertise to the organization.
  • Managing projects from conception to production.
  • Interfacing with stakeholders to identify and analyze training needs.
  • Assume a consultative role with stakeholders to drive toward determining the best solutions for satisfying training requirements.
  • Advocate for innovative solutions and evangelize the continuous improvement of our training methods.
  • Produce learning materials using a wide variety of tools including graphics software, video and audio software, print layout software, and rapid application development software.
  • Actively participate in quality assurance for both your projects and your peer's projects, and strive to produce error free and technically excellent products.
  • Develop and execute strategies for measuring the effectiveness of training programs, including satisfying learning objectives, implementing all levels of evaluation, and aligning with workforce KPIs.
  • Provide the best possible customer service experience to leadership, stakeholders, SMEs, Learning Delivery, and Team Members.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of practical experience or equivalent experience in Instructional Design.
  • Experience producing professional and instructionally sound course materials.
  • Experience producing professional and contemporary graphic design and typography for print, online, and rich media projects.
  • Experience producing professional copy for print, online, and rich media projects.
  • Advanced skills in using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Intermediate skills in using Adobe InDesign, Adobe Animate, and Adobe Premiere.
  • Intermediate skills using a RAD such as Adobe Captivate or Articulate Storyline.
  • Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office or equivalent office suite.
  • Intermediate or advanced skills in one or more of the following:
  • Videography and Photography
  • Audio production and music composition
  • Illustration and Animation
  • HTML/CSS/JavaScript and SCORM
  • SQL and database administration
  • VR, AR, and MR development
  • Game design

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with class facilitation
  • Experience with Adobe Captivate
  • Experience with Adobe CC
  • Experience with Thinking Cap LMS
  • Experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript
  • Experience with responsive design
  • Experience creating training materials for technical products
