Our cross-functional gaming team focuses on increasing technology adoption of cloud computing by engaging directly with technical leaders, C-level executives and influencers at all levels across the industry. Do you have the business background, technical depth, and communication and writing skills needed to help further establish Amazon as the leader in the Gaming industry? Would you like to own driving the revenue and adoption for AWS Game Tech Services?

As the Game Tech product go-to-market Specialist, you will have an exciting opportunity to shape and deliver on a global strategy to help our customers innovate & create new end user experiences for game developers. Your responsibilities will be to develop, implement, and manage go-to-market strategy for Game industry specific managed products & solutions, drive sales enablement, and work with field teams to accelerate customer adoption, measure results, and evolve these products to meet AWS’ customer needs effectively. You will work closely with the global game’s specialist teams, and must be experienced in working across globally distributed cross-functional teams in dynamic organizations.

The right candidate will have successful industry experience interacting at the highest levels of companies, technical background, and demonstrated experience in developing go-to-market strategies for products and technologies supporting the game industry or tangential industries leveraging compute to support large / open world simulations. In addition, the right candidate will have excellent program and project management skills, a customer-obsessed and collaborative approach, strong data and metrics bias, a deep understanding of the games industry, and a passion for helping gaming companies innovate and create new and exciting experiences using cloud technologies.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key member of the global Games Specialist team to define and execute on a strategic market development plan for newly launched products & service.
  • Develop sales enablement materials supporting go-to-market activities (Sales Playbooks, First Call Decks, and Battlecards)
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop and align digital marketing campaigns to drive awareness and demand.
  • Maintain reporting mechanisms for measuring effectiveness and gathering insights for continuous improvement to products supporting customer needs.
  • Conduct customer briefings, present at customer events, and speak at public events driving thought leadership in the industry domains
  • A passion for Games! – Great understanding of how the Games industry operates and the unique characteristics and culture of the industry.
  • Passion for cloud technologies – deep understanding of public and hybrid cloud platforms.
  • Technical knowledge of Games industry applications, platforms, and data ecosystem, with ability to go deep on technical aspects to understand current and future customer needs and present AWS technical benefits.
  • Excellent business and financial acumen and negotiations skills.
  • Relevant technical knowledge is helpful, such as: Game development platforms (Unity, Unreal, etc), core distributed computing concepts, fundamentals of cloud computing and virtualization, platform variation (mobile, PC, Console), software defined networking, network functions virtualization, etc. with ability to go deep enough on relevant technologies key to the industry.
  • Education: technical background with Computer Science, and/or Engineering/Math background is highly desired; working knowledge of software development practices and data center/infrastructure / networking technologies highly desired.
  • Deep knowledge of the AWS Services and their relevance to the games industry

This position must be located at one of our U.S. AWS Corp. offices with a preference for the Silicon Valley, CA.
